carrotriptych

Now that the river has subsided from flood stage, the bright colors of this mural can be appreciated.

These young men, though, are oblivious to the artwork behind them, so focused are they on the task at hand: removing dirt and grime from the carrots before these are sold at the paunay market in Bagacay every Saturday.

The river-bathed carrots, ready for market day. Wanna have some? Crrunch!

Hmm, actually, they don't really look that crunchy. More like soggy, huh?
