Binibining Dragon

Ibang klase!

Babala: Huwag itong gayahin sa bahay.

This is Lady Dragon, a fire-eating and fire-breathing being! He/She showcased her skills during the Street Dancing Fellowship Night at the Bloulevard of the Pain Society of the Philippines Annual Convention that was held here in Dumaguete last week.

This is my favorite photo for the month of March because, honestly, I don't know how this happened! I'm not very familiar yet with the settings of my two-month-old camera so I fiddled with the adjustment knobs and am just so glad that one of the pictures came out like this, showing the arcs of fire as the Lady Dragon danced and twirled the fiery torches.

I learned a shocking fact: in order for Lady Dragon to "breath" fire, she had to take a mouthful of kerosene into her mouth and then belch this out with all her strength onto the torch thereby producing a "dragonian breath of flames"! Awesome!

Warning: Don't try this at home.

This is my very first entry to Litratong Pinoy, thank you Doc Em Dy for inviting me.

To the native Tagalog speakers out there, please pardon me if my Tagalog is of the "kuwaderno and salum-puwit" variety. Although I've lived in Manila for more than fifteen years, my tongue is so stiff now and my Filipino rusty. That is why I'm so glad that there's this opportunity to practice using our National Language once again.

Great shot! You have a good eye Doc Ness. It helps that you have a good camera, but it takes a good eye to recognize the opportunity and timing of when to take the shot.
